A free one day training session on safeguarding vulnerable adults and children will be held at Springwell Gardens Community Centre on 27th June 2017. The course is friendly and informal and will be held between 10am and 3pm and a certificate is available for all those who attend.

Organiser Steve Ruffle of Rotherham Federation of Communities said “This course is about how you can positively make a difference in safeguarding vulnerable people in our local communities. It is about empowering people and giving everyone the confidence to support one another”.

The course is taught by Bill Horrocks of Tina Training. and will look who is a risk, the types of abuse, how to disclose and report your concerns. Tina Training regularly deliver Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults at Risk training to Local Authorities, Private Providers, Voluntary Organisations, General Practices and Workforce Development Programmes throughout the UK.
