Rotherham Federation of Communities is seeking to recruit volunteer digital champions  to help Rotherham residents get online. Digital Champions are local people who are already using the internet and who will gain through training the skills needed to be a Volunteer Digital Champion and the necessary knowledge to help communicate the benefits of going online.

To be a Digital Champion, you will need a willingness to help and support other residents to get online, a friendly helpful attitude that can encourage people, good basic skills in using computers and tablets and a willingness to undertake a free DBS check which will enable you to work with vulnerable residents.

An initial training  and induction session for people wishing to become Digital Champions will be held  between 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday 28th February 2018 at  Springwell Gardens Community Centre where you can find out more about the becoming and  Volunteer Digital Champion and what it will involve. Refreshments will be provided.

More details are available from steve.ruffle@rotherfed.org  or by phoning 01709 368515. Springwell Gardens Community Centre is on Eastwood View in Rotherham
