2017 Community Group Quality Awards 

Groups applied for 12  awards in total , demonstrating their achievements in 6 quality areas.  Awards were given in governance, communication, involving people, policies, finance and making a difference. They were assessed by an independent panel.  All the groups are  run by and for volunteer community members.

RotherFed would like to thank all the groups for applying and the excellent quality of applications received. Gold awards included a certificate and a £150 cash prize. Silver awards included a certificate and a £50 cash prize.

For Involving People, Shaftesbury Housing Residents Association received a gold award and Bakersfield Court Tenants Association received a silver award.  These awards were  sponsored by Keep Moat.

The Communication Awards were sponsored by Target Housing. Hellaby Community Project received a gold award and  Kiveton Bungalow User Group a silver award.

Groups that are Making a Difference – Lings Monday Club received a gold award and  A Reason to Like Mondays a silver award. These awards were sponsored by Home Instead.

On Policies, a Gold Award was presented to Friends of Catcliffe and a Silver Award to York Gardens Centre. These awards were sponsored by Fortem.

2016 Community Group Quality Awards

Community group awards were presented to 12 groups in six quality areas at the Tenant Conference at Silverwood Miners Welfare Club on Tuesday 5th July 2016.

Governance

The gold award went to  Clarence Howard TARA who were presented with a cheque for £100. The silver award went to Manor Farm TARA who were presented with a cheque for £50. This award was sponsored by Keep Moat.
