Woodland Drive Community Centre training to get online with Communitas

Group admitted to membership on 10th March 2014.

A beautiful bouquet was presented to John and Gloria Moore by Helen Wordsworth, RMBC housing officer in recognition of all the hard work the couple do to support Woodland drive Community centre.  The North Anston centre has been thriving with the dedicated work put in by John, who is the chair of the Woodland Drive committee, and Gloria who hosts the regular Thursday coffee mornings.  The coffee mornings see a number of regular attendees, with local Councillor's surgeries, Housing and Rotherfed officers and most recently, Rotherham community football trust who will be holding a series of activity sessions to promote light exercise and chat.

A number of groups also use the Community centre, which is situated between Woodland Drive and Narrow Lane, you can learn card craft, sugar craft or take part in the weekly bingo participate in a church or hire the centre for meetings.  The centre is also the hub for community litter picks, jumble sales and seasonal fayres.  Cllr Jo Burton said "it is wonderful to have such dedicated people like John and Gloria who really make the community centre buzz with life and create a feeling of neighbourliness"
