The group as been supported in applying for funding for their Christmas event at Dinnington Resource Center, they have been supported in putting together a presentation to showcase the fundraising for charities that they have taken part in this year.

Peregrin Way TARA received a grant of £250 which they used to buy 2 sets of table and chairs for their Sensory Garden at Peregrin Way Neighbourhood Centre, Harthill.

Last year the old table and chairs were damaged in the storms and the group didn’t have the money to replace them.

Ida Atkin a local resident and member of Peregrin Way TARA said “Having these table and chairs will mean that tenants are able to sit and enjoy the sensory garden, it also means we can put on outside events at the centre such as bbqs and strawberry teas”

The residents of Peregrin Way centre were treated to a slap up meal to see out the old year on 30 December.

Everyone of the 43 residents received a couple of scratch cards, with some lucky winners from them, and wine was provided on the tables.

Entertainment was provided by a choir from Anston, who have formed to raise money for Bluebell Wood Hospice.

The event ended with the obligatory games of bingo, and a thoroughly good time was had by all.
