On Friday 25th August 2017, tenants, residents and partners from Blackburn got together in the Boys Club  to celebrate 20 years of activity and agree closure of the group.

20 years ago, the group came together over shared concerns in the local area. The aim was always to make Blackburn a better place to live. A lot of things have been achieved included the regular Drop-In. Summer and Christmas fetes have been held, day trips run and various exercise classes hosted.

Val Baldwin, Mary Jacques and the committee were thanked for their contribution to the local community and Mary Maxfield from Blackburn Youth Club announced that a special bench will be installed outside to mark their contribution to Blackburn  over the years.

The TARA has been always an active member of Rotherham Federation and their closure will be a great loss for tenants.
